Is there an age requirement for acceptance into Lead Florida?

Typically our students range in age from 18 - 25 years old.

 

Who can I ask for a Pastoral Recommendation?

Pastoral Recommendations can be completed by anyone on Pastoral Staff at your current church with whom you’ve had a relationship with for at least 6 months. If your Senior Pastor is a family member, we ask that you have another member of the church staff fill out the recommendation.

 

What devices and supplies will I need to complete my coursework?

Students are required to bring their own laptop for the convenience of completing assignments and school work.

 

Will housing be provided?

Yes. Together Church houses students in a duplex style house.

 

Will I need a car?

Students are not required to bring a car, but it is highly recommended. Ministry related transportation is provided. Drivers with vehicles on campus are required to be insured and in good working condition.

 

What kind of free time can I expect at Lead Florida?

Students are given a weekly schedule to follow that incorporates discipleship, ministry training, and class time. The schedule ends at dinner time most evenings and students can use that time to catch up on homework, hang out with friends, go to a movie, sleep, relax, explore the city, head to the beach, visit Disney Springs, etc.

 

What is included in Lead Florida tuition?

Tuition covers housing, most meals, traveling, ministry transportation, and administration fees. However, some expenses to expect not included in tuition tuition are personal toiletries, cost of books, all online college costs, off day meals, and any extra outings or entertainment you may want to have.

 

Can I have a job while at Lead Florida?

We highly recommend you set aside 9 months to fully immerse yourself in the program without other obligations. However, limited work opportunities may be permitted on your scheduled day off.

 

Am I eligible to receive Financial Aid?

Yes! Students who take classes from Lee University (or another online university of your choosing) are eligible to apply for Federal Aid and Loans. In order to be eligible, the student must complete an online FAFSA Application.
